Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to deliver goods efficiently and on time. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and professionalism, ensuring that all deliveries meet company standards and customer expectations. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in maintaining the supply chain and supporting our company's operational success.
Duties
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement of items
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Assist with loading/unloading when necessary, including heavy lifting of cargo
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly to management
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy trucks or commercial vehicles is preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required
- Experience with long-distance or regional hauling is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for loading/unloading cargo
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools is advantageous
