We are hiring an employee for our Benefit Navigator role located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
A normal day for a Benefit Navigator includes:
- Leveraging military experience to assess and coordinate client benefits programs, including health claims, disability claims, and other health related benefits
- Assisting with client enrolment process, including account set up, form preparation, and client information sessions
- Conducting client orientation sessions to inform about available benefits and application processes
- Serving as the main point of contact for clients regarding benefit inquiries and issue resolution
- Maintaining client benefit records and ensure data integrity
- Collaborating with the team lead and other benefit navigators to ensure accurate and timely communication of benefit updates and changes
- Staying up to date on industry policies and regulations related to client benefits, such as Veteran Affairs, RCMP, etc.
We are looking to hire a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Strong preference for candidate with previous experience in the Canadian Armed Forces
- First-hand knowledge of military terminology and careers
- Fluency in French considered an asset
- High School Diploma required, post-secondary education preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in customer service or a similar role
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and own a reliable vehicle
