Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of equipment and facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance to support smooth operations across our site. The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools and power tools
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Assist in installation of new equipment and upgrades as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all maintenance activities
- Respond quickly to emergency repair requests to ensure operational continuity
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, saws, etc.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for repairs and installations
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating with team members
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
