This role is ideal for individuals with entry level experience in masonry, carpentry, gardening/landscaping, painting, and cleaning, who are flexible and available to work as required based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
General Labour & Site Support
- Assist with day-to-day site operations as assigned
- Load/unload materials and set up tools and equipment
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environments
- Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks efficiently
Masonry
- Assist with brick, block, and concrete work
- Prepare surfaces and mix materials
- Perform minor repairs and patching
Carpentry
- Support framing, drywall, and finishing tasks
- Complete minor repairs and installations
- Assist with renovation and improvement projects
Painting
- Prepare surfaces (sanding, patching, priming)
- Apply paint and finishes to interior/exterior surfaces
- Ensure quality workmanship and proper cleanup
Gardening & Landscaping
- Perform lawn care, trimming, and planting
- Maintain outdoor spaces, including seasonal cleanup
- Assist with snow removal and general grounds maintenance
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Perform general cleaning and site cleanup
- Support post-construction cleaning and unit turnovers
- Dispose of waste in accordance with safety regulations
Health & Safety
- Follow all company safety procedures and WorkSafeBC guidelines
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately
- Report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately
Qualifications & Skills
- Entry level experience in general labour, construction, or maintenance
- Skills in one or more of the following: masonry, carpentry, painting, landscaping, or cleaning
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Additional Requirements
- Availability for on-call / as-needed work (no guaranteed hours)
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Ability to travel between job sites
