The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Contract Spa Trainer to join our team on a freelance or independent contractor basis.
Based in Vancouver, our team is looking for a trainer who can independently support our growing network of spa and wellness partners across Eastern Canada. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced spa professional who enjoys working autonomously, building trusted relationships, and representing premium professional spa brands.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality treatment and product knowledge training to spa teams, helping ensure that our partner accounts are confident, knowledgeable, and equipped to provide exceptional experiences to their guests.
Over time, there may also be opportunities for the successful candidate to assist in the development and growth of Soluzione Spa Products' Eastern Canadian partnerships. This could include building relationships with existing and prospective spa and wellness accounts, identifying opportunities for education and brand development, and helping strengthen our presence in the Eastern Canadian market.
This role would be particularly well suited to a confident, self-motivated spa professional who is comfortable managing their own schedule and working independently while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with our Vancouver-based team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, professional in-person and/or virtual training sessions on spa treatments, protocols, and product knowledge.
- Educate spa teams on professional product knowledge, with a strong emphasis on Kerstin Florian and Aromatherapy Associates.
- Train therapists and spa professionals to confidently perform treatment protocols and incorporate products effectively into the guest experience.
- Ensure spa staff have the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to deliver exceptional and consistent guest experiences.
- Adapt training methods and communication styles to meet the needs of different learners, teams, and spa environments.
- Customize presentations, training materials, and slide decks according to the needs of individual accounts.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with spa management, therapists, and account teams.
- Communicate effectively with the Soluzione Spa Products team regarding training needs, account feedback, and opportunities for continued education.
- Maintain current knowledge of spa industry trends, treatment techniques, wellness practices, and effective training methodologies.
- Represent Soluzione Spa Products and its partner brands in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Where appropriate, support the development of relationships with existing and prospective spa, hotel, resort, and wellness partners in Eastern Canada.

- Professional, organized, dependable, and able to represent premium luxury brands with credibility.
- Comfortable working with different types of spa teams and adapting to a variety of learning environments.
- Curious and commercially minded, with an interest in supporting the growth of spa and wellness partnerships.
- A collaborative partner who can work remotely with a Vancouver-based team while taking ownership of their responsibilities in the Eastern Canadian market.
- Someone who understands the importance of building long-term, trusted relationships within the spa and wellness industry.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a spa trainer, senior spa therapist, educator, or similar professional role.
- Strong familiarity with luxury skin and body care products and treatment protocols; certification or previous experience with the brand is preferred.
- Experience with Aromatherapy Associates & Kerstin Florian is an asset.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to confidently lead both small and larger group training sessions.
- Ability to use basic computer programs and adapt PowerPoint or similar presentations according to account needs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Fluent French is an asset, particularly for supporting accounts in Eastern Canada.
- Ability and willingness to travel within Canada as required.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada as an independent contractor.
- Located in Eastern Canada, preferably Toronto.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in luxury spa, hotel, resort, or wellness environments.
- Existing relationships within the Eastern Canadian spa and wellness industry.
- Experience training across multiple spa locations or geographically dispersed teams.
- Experience representing professional spa or wellness brands.
- Flexible availability for occasional weekend or evening training sessions.
- Interest in contributing to the development and growth of new spa and wellness partnerships.
Contract Details
- Position: Contract / Freelance Spa Trainer
- Location: Eastern Canada, with remote coordination from Soluzione Spa Products' Vancouver-based team
- Engagement: As-needed basis, with potential for ongoing training opportunities and expanded involvement as the Eastern Canadian market grows
- Compensation: Competitive compensation based on experience and scope of engagement
- Travel: Travel expenses reimbursed where applicable
