General Duties:
Automation Technicians are responsible for the installation, programming, operation and maintenance of computer and robotic systems used in a manufacturing setting. This also includes administration, configuration, design and maintenance of various systems, while also troubleshooting any issues that might occur. Candidate must have a willingness to wear multiple hats and be a team player in a fast-paced environment. This is full time position.
Responsibilities:
· Install, maintain and inspect control systems and workstation installations throughout the facility
· Communicate status, manage expectations and resolve issues
· Provide expertise to continue advancement of automated systems throughout the site
· Inspect and review manufacturing equipment installations for design and troubleshooting purposes
· Ensure automation is properly calibrated
· Works on special projects as directed by the management team.
· Contributes to team effort by taking on added tasks as required.
· Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of all data
· Lead and maintain a safe, secure, enjoyable professional working environment.
Qualifications:
· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and organizational skills
· 1-2 years of Automation Technician experience
· Basic knowledge of automation and programming
· Attention to details and reporting activities
· Self-motivating with a positive attitude
· Ability to multi-task and problem solve
Typical working conditions:
· Schedule may change depending on business requirements. Monday to Friday days or nights, or Continental day/night shift.
· Manufacturing plant with continuous interaction on manufacturing floor where PPE is required.
