Job Overview
Urban Ridge Homes is one of Winnipeg's leading infill home builders, specializing in high-quality custom homes, duplexes, triplexes, and multi-family developments. We're looking for an Assistant Construction Coordinator to support our Construction Manager and Assistant Project Manager in delivering exceptional projects throughout Winnipeg. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you'll spend most of your time on active construction sites, learning directly from experienced construction professionals.
Duties
- Visit active construction sites daily.
- Assist with coordinating trades and construction schedules.
- Complete quality control inspections and identify deficiencies.
- Assist with site walkthroughs and project progress tracking.
- Help coordinate material deliveries.
- Take progress photos and maintain site documentation.
- Communicate with trades, suppliers, and inspectors.
- Help ensure projects remain on schedule and meet Urban Ridge Homes' quality standards.
- Keep job sites organized, safe, and presentable.
- Support the Construction Manager and Assistant Project Manager with day-to-day site operations.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in residential construction, construction coordination, site supervision, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- A strong interest in residential construction and a desire to build a long-term career in the industry.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to solve problems and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working outdoors on active construction sites in all seasons.
- Valid Class 5 Manitoba driver's licence and reliable transportation to travel between job sites throughout Winnipeg.
- Basic knowledge of residential construction is considered an asset.

Pay: $40,000.00-$47,000.00 per year
