Job Summary
The Loss Prevention Officer plays a critical role in safeguarding the assets of the organization by preventing theft, fraud, and other losses. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to monitor activities within the premises to ensure a safe and secure environment for both employees and customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong surveillance skills and a background in law enforcement or loss prevention.
Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV, to detect suspicious activities and prevent theft.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter criminal behavior and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Investigate incidents of theft or fraud, gathering evidence and preparing detailed reports as necessary.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when needed to address security concerns or incidents.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and actions taken in response to security breaches.
- Assist in implementing loss prevention strategies and policies to minimize risks.
Experience
- Previous experience in loss prevention, security, or law enforcement is preferred.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment and techniques is preferred.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, management, and law enforcement officials.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

We are well-established local, holistic security company with many well-know clients. We require hard-working and responsible individuals to work as a Loss Prevention Officer in a retail store setting in Chilliwack. We also have an opening in Mission.
REQUIREMENTS and Must Have:
· Valid BC Security License
· 1-2 years of Loss Prevention Officer experience
· Strong communication and observation skills
· Ability to maintain self-control
· Ability to make quick decisions during emergency situations
· Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours
· Ability to arrest and prevent thieves from stealing.
· Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic
