Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects involving downhole oilfield equipment both ferrous and non-ferrous materials, contributing to high-quality production standards. The role requires proficiency in GMAW and SMAW welding, plasma cutting, and the use of hand and power tools. Candidates with experience in rigging, crane operation, mechanical, and forklift operation will be highly valued.
Duties
- Perform GMAW and SMAW welding on metal components according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise fabrication
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and basic math skills to measure and assemble parts accurately
- Rig materials and utilize cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy components safely
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures
Experience
- Proven experience in welding using GMAW and SMAW techniques in a manufacturing setting
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining, assembly, and fabrication processes
- Familiarity with rigging operations, crane handling, plasma cutting, and schematics reading
- Ability to operate forklifts and power tools safely within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings is essential
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to welding, rigging, and heavy equipment operation
