Duties
· Preparation, initiation, and supervision of chemical reactions.
· Maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment.
· Cleaning glassware.
· Weighing and measuring chemicals with accuracy and precision.
· Working within an ISO certified Quality Management System, following procedures for reactions as outlined in documented Standard Operating Procedures.
· Exercising extreme caution and care when handling glassware.
· Accurately recording and maintaining records of manufacture.
· Ordering and receiving lab materials and chemicals as required.
· Reporting to Lead Chemist with any issues and/or questions.
· Performing product release testing
An Ideal Candidate Would Possess:
· A Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Chemistry/Biochemistry.
· An inherent safety-oriented work style.
· Experience in a laboratory environment.
· The ability to work as a team as well as individually.
· A strict attention to detail and thoroughness when completing manufacturing documents.
· Organizational skills, attention to cleanliness, and the ability to work under time pressures and troubleshoot.
Compensation
The applicant that is offered this position will begin their three-month probation at $25.50/hour. After the completion of the probationary period, a successful candidate will receive an option to participate in a medical and dental benefits package. Above market pay increases are available and are offered to dedicated employees from there on out.
The work week is 40 hours and each workday starts at 8 am and ends at 4:15 pm, Monday-Friday. Start time will be flexible once training and probation period has been completed.
