Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our facilities through routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of equipment, machinery, and building systems to identify issues before they escalate.
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and part replacements.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as needed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Assist with safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or installations when necessary.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in general maintenance, repair, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, and HVAC equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and implement timely solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety guidelines.
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
- Certifications such as HVAC certification, electrician license, or relevant technical training are a plus but not required.
