Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Night Stocker to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the warehouse remains well-stocked, organized, and inviting for members. The Night Stocker will work primarily during evening hours, contributing to the smooth operation of the warehouse and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Ideal candidates are organized, reliable, and possess excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and assist members when needed.
Duties
- Follow merchandising standards and practices. Align product, collect and return stray items, stock to maintain high product levels.
- Communicate with supervisors and managers to determine merchandising plan and priorities. Write list of products to be brought from steel by forklift driver for stocking.
- Use box knife to cut boxes for display/accessibility of product and to cut twine or shrink wrap from pallet. Wrap or tie and tag pallets to be returned to steel.
- Stock open cases on shelves. Move and position pallets of merchandise using manual pallet jack. Stack product from partial pallets onto full pallets.
- Observe and ensure correct product signage.
- Set up display models, assembling as necessary. Modify displays for safe handling by members. Follow all safety and security procedures.
- Pull loose cardboard and slip sheetsfr om floor. Clear sales floor of debris and sweeps. Remove empty pallets from the sales floor. Operate cardboard bailer and trash compactor. Rewrap loose product using shrink wrap.
- Provide prompt and courteous member service. Help members to load large items into their cart, direct members to product relate product status knowledge.
- SKills
- Experience in retail sales or merchandising is preferred but not required
- Forklift operation certification is a plus for handling heavy loads safely
- Strong customer service skills to assist shoppers courteously and effectively
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for communicating with diverse customers and team members
- Excellent communication skills for clear instructions and teamwork
- Organizational skills to manage stock efficiently and keep the store tidy
- Basic cleaning and maintenance knowledge to uphold store standards
- Cashiering experience can be beneficial for supporting checkout operations when necessary
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
