Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Construction/Contractor Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with contractors, builders, home owners and renovation specialists to promote our extensive product offerings. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction and building materials knowledge, sales skills, and the ability to deliver excellent customer service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our growth by building lasting relationships and driving high-end sales.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with product selection and inquiries related to lumber and building materials.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandising display in the store.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and upselling products when appropriate.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations and maintain inventory levels.
- Utilize math skills for pricing, measurements, and inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members, demonstrating strong phone etiquette when necessary.
- Manage time efficiently to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Two (2) or more years experience in the construction industry with a solid knowledge of building materials
- Previous experience in retail sales and using POS systems
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with merchandising techniques and product displays
- An intermediate level of math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain a tidy work environment
- Ability to manage time effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $17.60-$24.50 per hour
