Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a preventative maintenance program and taking corrective action, where necessary, for the Colborne facility, including upkeep of the property and buildings, in compliance with all corporate procedures and government regulatory guidelines.
- Providing support for all personnel involved in maintenance and production at the Colborne facility, ensuring high standards of safety, housekeeping, product quality, internal service, efficiency and cost control that are consistent with corporate objectives.
- Layout, inspection, assembly, installation, troubleshooting, repair (including programming, calibration, preventative/predictive maintenance) of electrical systems, control systems, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, lighting and associated wiring.
- Monitoring contractors’ work in compliance with health and safety regulations and corporate procedures.
- Keeping thorough records of all equipment inspections using CMMS software.
Requirements:
- Minimum High School diploma, technical college diploma a definite asset.
- Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Electrician 442A or Construction & Maintenance Electrician 309A with 5 or more years of work-related Electrical experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Ontario Electrical Safety Code, relevant CSA standards, federal and provincial environmental, health and safety legislation.
- PLC, ladder logic, motor controls circuits, comms protocol, SCADA systems, and Industry 4.0 tools.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and manuals.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective time management skills.
