- Participate in and help lead client meetings, design presentations, and project discussions. Clearly communicate design intent, options, and rationale.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in all technical documents, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
- Coordinate directly with engineers, contractors, suppliers, and other consultants to support smooth project execution.
- Manage material and finish selections, prepare presentation boards/packages, and verify product feasibility.
- Review drawings for compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare FF&E schedules, finish schedules, and product specifications.
- Conduct site measurements, site reviews, and construction walkthroughs to ensure design integrity and address issues as they arise.
- Support project documentation needs, including meeting minutes, cost estimates, and project timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or Interior Design Technology.
- 4-6 years of professional experience in an interior design or architectural environment.
- Attained or pursuing NCIDQ Certification
- Proven experience managing your own design tasks and portions of projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong technical skills with advanced proficiency in SketchUp, Layout, AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, interior detailing, materials, and building systems.
- Experience producing full interior drawing sets for permit and construction.
- Comfortable engaging directly with clients—presenting ideas, gathering feedback, and guiding them through the design process.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects or deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
