About Us
Longview Logistics Ltd. is a cross-border motor carrier based at CentrePort in Winnipeg, Manitoba, operating under both Canadian (NSC/CVSE) and U.S. (FMCSA) regulatory frameworks. We are seeking an experienced Safety and Compliance Manager to lead and strengthen our safety program across all operations.
Position Summary
The Safety and Compliance Manager is responsible for maintaining full regulatory compliance across our Canadian and U.S. operations, overseeing driver safety performance, managing audits, and ensuring all fleet and driver documentation meets NSC, CVSE, and FMCSA standards. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly to the Director/Compliance Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the company Safety Plan, including regular reviews and updates to meet Manitoba Transportation and FMCSA requirements
- Conduct Hours-of-Service (HOS) and ELD log audits, including exception reviews, per-driver audits, and event-driven investigations
- Manage driver files, qualification records, and onboarding compliance
- Oversee roadside inspection results, CVOR/carrier profiles, and corrective-action processes
- Handle Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) compliance and documentation
- Coordinate CVIP inspection schedules and vehicle maintenance compliance records
- Support IRP/prorate and IFTA filings, including cross-document review of VINs, bills of sale, and registration documents
- Investigate incidents, collisions, and violations; prepare disciplinary and corrective documentation
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, auditors, and enforcement agencies as the compliance point of contact
- Deliver driver safety training and toolbox sessions
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation safety and compliance
- Working knowledge of Canadian NSC/CVSE and U.S. FMCSA regulations
- Experience with ELD/HOS auditing (Samsara or equivalent an asset)
- TDG certification
- Familiarity with CVIP requirements and fleet maintenance compliance
- Experience with IRP and IFTA processes
- Strong documentation, organizational, and investigative skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and telematics/compliance software
- Valid driver's licence; Class 1 an asset
