Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Experience with dental software (cleardent), as well as familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology, will be highly valued. Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during various procedures
- Take and develop dental radiographs
- Manage patient records efficiently
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
- Ensure patient comfort and address their concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards
Experience
- Prior experience in dental assisting is preferred, with knowledge of dental procedures, equipment, and protocols
- Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous
- Experience working with dental software
- Basic understanding of CAD for imaging or lab work is a plus
- Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate
Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
