Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Owner Operator Truck Drivers to join our team, operating across Manitoba (MB), British Columbia (BC), and Alberta (AB). This role offers the opportunity to independently manage freight transportation, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks across designated routes in MB, BC, and AB, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Manage freight loading and unloading, utilizing forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company standards
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to maintain vehicle functionality during routes
- Coordinate with dispatch for scheduling, route planning, and delivery updates
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and vehicle maintenance records
- Assist with heavy equipment operation as required for loading or unloading cargo
- Ensure proper documentation for freight shipments is completed accurately
Skills
- Proven 2 years experience in commercial driving, with a valid driver’s license suitable for heavy trucks in Canada
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and commercial trucking in MB, BC, and AB
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to plan routes effectively and meet delivery deadlines
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while maintaining high safety standards
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and clients
