Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and baking a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread.
- Decorate cakes and desserts with attention to detail using cake decorating techniques.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Package baked items for display or customer orders, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Support kitchen operations by cleaning equipment, utensils, and work areas regularly.
- Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about products and assisting with selections.
- Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies needed for daily production.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in product quality.
- Assist in setting up displays and maintaining cleanliness in the bakery area.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, baking, or a restaurant environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of cake decorating techniques is a plus.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude.
- Kitchen experience or background in the food industry is desirable.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed.
