Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support the dental team, and ensure smooth clinic operations. The Certified Dental Assistant will assist with various procedures, manage patient flow, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Manage patient records efficiently using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/check-out processes as a dental receptionist when needed
- Support pediatric patients by creating a comfortable environment during visits
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment at all times
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or registration as required by state regulations
- Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix and Epic is highly preferred
- Experience with orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is advantageous
- Knowledge of CAD systems for digital impressions or imaging is a plus
- Strong understanding of infection control procedures and sterilization techniques
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience assisting with various dental procedures is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific systems or techniques as needed
