- Prepare and cook high-quality food items according to Fatburger’s exact recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including flat-top grills, fryers, and charbroilers.
- Manage grill stations during peak hours to ensure fast, accurate ticket times without sacrificing quality.
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation guidelines, including monitoring food temperatures and labeling stock.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout your shift.
- Collaborate with front-of-house team members to ensure seamless service and accurate order fulfillment.
- Perform opening and closing kitchen duties, including equipment teardown, cleaning, and sanitizing.[1, 2, 3, 4]
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a grill cook, line cook, or short-order cook in a fast-casual environment is preferred.
- Food Safety: Valid Food Handler’s Card or local food safety certification required (or willing to obtain upon hire).
- Speed & Stamina: Ability to work quickly under pressure while standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 lbs for extended periods.
- Teamwork: Strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward helping coworkers.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. [1]
