Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our industrial maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills to maintain and repair heavy machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex systems, including programmable logic controllers, and welding operations, ensuring optimal performance and safety across our facilities. Candidates with experience in industrial electrician work, CMMS management, and schematic reading will thrive in this position. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment, including engines, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and electrical components.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, analysis skills, and diagnostic tools.
- Utilize CMMS software to document maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history.
- Conduct inspections of machinery such as boilers, HVAC systems, and industrial electrical systems to identify potential issues before failure occurs.
- Repair or replace components using welding, mechanical knowledge, and low voltage electrical experience.
- Assist with the installation of new equipment following schematics and technical manuals.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operation of manufacturing processes.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing settings.
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics reading.
- Experience with CMMS software for maintenance tracking.
- Electrical experience including low voltage systems and industrial electrician skills.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, welding techniques, and general mechanical repair.
- Ability to analyze complex systems to identify root causes of malfunctions efficiently.
- Familiarity with safety standards related to industrial environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
- Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork collaboration.
This position requires a dedicated professional capable of handling diverse maintenance challenges while ensuring safety and operational excellence across our manufacturing facilities.
Pay: $28.05-$45.00 per hour
