Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and confident Lead Hand to take charge of job sites and lead installation crews. This role is ideal for someone who can take control, lead by example, manage labourers, and ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. A strong construction or marine background is a major asset.
As a Lead Hand, you will set the tone on site—promoting positive team morale, clear communication, and pride in workmanship while representing Sunset Docks Muskoka professionally with every customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise crews during dock and boat lift installations, repairs, and removals
- Plan daily tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards
- Enforce company procedures, protocols, and safety policies
- Train, guide, and motivate labourers to perform at their best
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
- Communicate clearly with team members, management, and customers
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and professional
- Promote a positive team environment and strong work ethic
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven ability to lead and manage crews on active job sites
- Construction, marine, or waterfront installation background is a strong asset
- Strong leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work outdoors and in/around water
- Strong focus on safety and efficiency
- Pride in workmanship and commitment to exceptional customer service
- Dependable, responsible, and accountable
- Valid driver’s license required

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week
