Job Summary
Point No Point Resort is an oceanfront destination offering 25 rental units with private hot tubs perched on a bluff high above the shoreline on 40 acres of rugged waterfront. We are situated on the southwest coast of Vancouver Island in Shirley, 26 kilometers west of Sooke. We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hot Tub Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of our guest hot tubs, decks, windows, and surrounding areas.
Duties
- Drain, clean, and refill hot tubs
- Clean and maintain hot tub filters
- Troubleshoot malfunctions efficiently to minimize downtime for customers
- Monitor and balance hot tub chemicals
- Perform routine hot tub maintenance and inspections
- Clean exterior windows and maintain cabin decks
- Assist with general upkeep and maintenance tasks
- Ensure all work is completed to high cleanliness and safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with resort guests
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with hot tubs or pools is preferred but not required (training available)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance tasks
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather
- Reliable and dependable
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (required)
- Must be available to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 2 to 3 shifts per week based on demand, 9:00am to approximately 5:00pm. Occasional opportunities for additional shifts.
