Role: Senior GIS Consultant (Utilities – ESRI Migration)
Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)\

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior GIS Consultant / Solution Architect with deep, hands-on experience in migrating utility environments from GTechnology (GTech) to ESRI platforms.
This is a high-impact transformation role where you will play a key part in shaping both the technical strategy and business roadmap for a large-scale GIS modernization program.
Key Responsibilities
- You will partner with business and technology stakeholders to:
- Develop the migration strategy and technical implementation plan
- Build the business case and transformation roadmap
- Assess current-state GTech environments and define target-state ESRI architecture
- Drive data migration, integration, and governance frameworks
- Provide executive-level advisory support and delivery guidance
- Troubleshoot and resolve migration, integration, and GIS platform issues
Support post-migration AMS (Application Management Services) including:
- Maintenance & enhancements
- Ongoing operational support
Required Experience
- 8+ years of experience in GIS within the utilities domain
- Proven experience in GTechnology (GTech) ESRI migration
Strong knowledge of:
- Utility network models & asset management
- Enterprise GIS architecture
Experience in building:
- Technical strategies & roadmaps
- Hands-on experience in post-implementation AMS support
- Ability to engage with both executive stakeholders and technical teams
- Utilities experience (Power / Water / Transmission) is mandatory
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ESRI Utility Network
- Knowledge of integration architecture & spatial data migration
- Exposure to cloud, mobility, and field workforce enablement
- Strong documentation and presentation skills

Benefits
Compensation range: $140,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
