Meadow Park Chatham is a fully accredited long term care home in Chatham, Ontario and serves 128 residents. Chatham is the urban centre of Chatham-Kent, a large municipality in Southwestern Ontario located between Windsor (approximately 80 km to the west) and London (approximately 115 km to the east). It is known for its fertile farmland, a diverse economy of manufacturing and agriculture, and rich history, including its role in the Underground Railroad.
Join our team as a Laundry Aide!
Under the direction of the Environmental Services Manager, the Laundry Aide is responsible and accountable for the laundering of linen and clothing, as well as the maintenance of the laundry room.
This role performs routine laundry services, including the safe use and maintenance of laundry equipment. The role requires knowledge of WHMIS chemicals. Responsibilities also include participating in policy reviews, facility committees, ongoing education, and maintaining documentation. The position must report relevant resident information for care conferences and immediately communicate changes in a resident's condition to the charge nurse.

Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
Experience with environmental programs preferred
Must demonstrate good communication skills
Must understand oral and written instructions
