Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves handling various warehouse functions including order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and heavy equipment operation. The ideal candidate will have prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse distribution, mechanical operations, and heavy equipment handling within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment using order picker and other tools
- Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems
- Conduct shipping and receiving activities, verifying quantities and documentation accuracy
- Perform heavy lifting tasks to move goods within the warehouse
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety standards are met
- Assist in packaging products for shipment while adhering to quality standards
- Support manufacturing processes when required, including construction-related tasks if applicable
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all warehouse operations
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or manufacturing environments
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation including forklifts, reach trucks, and load & unload machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Skilled in order picking, order fulfillment, packaging, and load & unload procedures
- Experience operating heavy equipment like forklifts, or other industrial machinery
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and best practices
- Familiarity with warehouse processes such as inventory management and order processing systems

Pay: $16.00 per hour
