CEASE is an Edmonton-based nonprofit organization working to end sexual exploitation and human trafficking through prevention, education, advocacy, systems change, and support for individuals and families impacted by exploitation.
We are expanding our capacity to use data, research, and digital intelligence to better understand patterns of sexual exploitation and inform prevention, policy, and systems-level responses.
Position Summary
The Human Trafficking Intelligence & Data Analyst supports CEASE’s system-level understanding of sexual exploitation and human trafficking trends.
This role focuses on transforming complex and multi-source data into clear, actionable insights that support decision-making, program development, advocacy, funding applications, and cross-sector collaboration.
The Analyst will develop dashboards, reports, and analytical products that identify trends, patterns, and emerging issues related to exploitation and vulnerability across Alberta.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends, patterns, and emerging issues related to sexual exploitation and human trafficking.
· Conduct system-level analysis of online and offline indicators of exploitation to support early identification of risks and emerging trends.
· Integrate multiple data sources to produce meaningful insights for program and policy decision-making.
· Identify geographic, temporal, and behavioural trends in exploitation-related data.
· Develop dashboards, reports, maps, and data visualizations using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
· Produce regular analytical reports and briefings for internal leadership
· Translate complex datasets into clear, accessible findings for non-technical audiences.
· Provide research support for public education, advocacy, and prevention initiatives.
· Maintain accurate documentation of data sources, analysis methods, and reporting processes.
Qualifications
· Diploma or degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Criminology, Sociology, Geography, Public Policy, Statistics, or a related field.
· Experience working with data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI (or equivalent).
· Experience producing reports, dashboards, or data visualizations.
· Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to identify patterns and interpret complex datasets.
· Excellent written communication skills, including report writing for non-technical audiences.
· Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
· Experience in research, policy analysis, or program evaluation.
· Knowledge of social issues such as vulnerability, exploitation, gender-based violence, or youth risk factors.
Pay: $58,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
