We are currently seeking a permanent part-time Assistant Cook to join our growing and dynamic team!
The schedule for this position is 4 shifts in a 2 week pay period, with 2 of those shifts being every other weekend. The shift times during the week are 7:30am to 3:30pm and the weekends are 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- To be responsible for the preparation of all food according to posted menus using standardized recipes
- To monitor quality and palatability of all foods prepared
- To follow a pattern of performance to provide high quality products
- To ensure that all food being placed in storage is adequately wrapped and dated
- To prepare special diet meals according to specifications
- To follow proper food handling procedures
- To keep refrigerators and freezers in a clean and organized condition
- To be responsible for the cleaning of general work area and equipment
- Participate in Departmental Safety inspections when required
- Responsible for working in a safe manner and reporting any unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
- 2 years practical experience is required
- Must be able to read and write in English
- Chef training - Red Seal, or Culinary Management Diploma or Institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality cooking experience
