Job description
Under the supervision of the Centre Manager, the Education Coordinator is responsible for the day to day operations and decision making of the educational portion of the tutoring centre. The position involves working with educators, students, parents to optimize learning for all students.
The teaching portion involves small group (maximum 3:1 ratio), individualized tutoring for students ranging in age from from elementary school to university. The top candidate will be an exceptional teacher for students in JK to Grade 8 in English and French.
The daily activities include managing assessments, writing progress reports, adapting students' program, contacting parents and teachers, enriching learning, collaborating with Centre Manager, preparing learning camps.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Ontario Certified Teachers are preferred, but also those aspiring to a career in education or just passionate about helping students succeed.
- A passion to help students reach their potential.
- Previous experience working with students.
- Good understanding of Ontario's curriculum and school system.
- Excellent English and French oral and written skills.
- Exceptionally organized and high attention to detail.
- Must be able to effectively teach students from JK to Grade 8.
- Coaching skill is an asset.
Candidate must be able to work on site in Stittsville for 2 shifts between Monday and Thursday (2 x 7.5 hrs) and 1 shift between Friday and Saturday (1 x 5 hrs).
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 1:00pm to 8:30pm
- Friday, Saturday - 9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Able to start in July 2026.
