Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented X-Ray Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily X-rays, to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and excellent patient care skills. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate X-ray equipment accurately to produce clear diagnostic images as ordered by physicians.
- Follow established safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary radiation exposure.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of procedures performed.
- Assist with the maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to review images for quality and clarity before finalizing reports.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations, privacy policies, and safety standards related to medical imaging.
Qualifications
- Certification or licensure as an X-Ray Technologist or Radiologic Technologist is required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Prior experience in diagnostic imaging is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions are critical.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
