Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper / Outdoor Events Labourer (Casual Part-Time) to maintain outdoor spaces and assist with outdoor event setups. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting landscape maintenance and event preparations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess basic knowledge of horticulture and gardening, and be comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
Responsibilities
- Use hand tools, power tools, and irrigation equipment to perform landscape maintenance tasks.
- Assist with setting up outdoor events, including arranging furniture, tents, and decorations.
- Perform general outdoor cleaning and debris removal to ensure a tidy environment.
- Conduct routine inspections of outdoor spaces to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Support seasonal planting, watering, fertilizing, and pest control activities.
- Assist with minor repairs and upkeep of outdoor facilities and equipment.
- Assisting with event preparation and cleanup
- Other general outdoor maintenance tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor labour experience is an asset but not required
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Reliable transportation to access different outdoor work sites as needed.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
