Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Specialist to join our team. This role involves working closely with our clinical team in a supported-housing environment to support their behavioral and emotional development. The ideal candidate will be enrolled in or have completed ABA education in a post secondary setting with a commitment to improving the lives of individuals with diverse needs. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Duties
- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans tailored to each individual's needs
- Observe and record behavioral data to monitor progress and inform treatment strategies
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support across settings
- Administer medications as prescribed, following all safety protocols and documentation procedures
- Provide direct care, including assisting with daily activities and emotional support
- Educate families and caregivers on behavioral strategies and progress updates
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily activities, behaviours, interventions, and outcomes
- Maintain quality standards in relation to the health, safety, security and property standards of Reg. 299/10
- Assist in training staff or interns on data collection methods and behavioral techniques
Requirements
- Experience working within clinical, or therapeutic settings
- Knowledge of special education practices and behavioral intervention strategies
- Ability to administer medications safely following prescribed guidelines
- Skilled in data collection, analysis, and reporting to track behavioral progress
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to supporting individual's developmental needs

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
