As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Soucy, you will be at the heart of our performance, ensuring that every component delivered by our suppliers meets the highest industry standards. Your role will consist of validating, inspecting, and approving parts to ensure they comply with our customers' requirements. In addition to coordinating and monitoring corrective and preventive actions, you will actively participate in the evolution of our quality system, ensuring that every problem finds a lasting solution. Your expertise will be essential to maintaining and improving the quality of our products throughout the supply chain!
In this position, you will have the opportunity to:
Quality Planning and Development

Oversee product quality planning (APQP) from the earliest stages of development

Prepare and submit Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation

Coordinate quality activities during the launch of new products
-
Define and implement process or technology changes that impact quality
Analysis, Metrology, and Process Control
-
Plan and draft measurement system analysis (MSA) reports and R&R studies
-
Conduct and verify quality tests during the development and prototyping phases
-
Analyze production results using statistical tools (SPC, Six Sigma)
-
Control and improve process capability (Cp/Cpk)
Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement
-
Coordinate the problem-solving process—customer complaints and internal/supplier corrective actions
-
Serve as a resource for the use of quality tools (8D, Ishikawa, PDCA, FMEA)
-
Actively participate in Lean projects, Kaizen workshops, and waste elimination initiatives
-
Support Production and teams in the application of statistical and quality tools
Quality System, Documentation, and Suppliers

Document quality procedures and disseminate them to all stakeholders
-
Ensure compliance with and understanding of the ISO 9001 quality system through audits and other validation processes

Assist the Purchasing Department in the selection, evaluation, and approval of suppliers

With the following skills and qualities, you will be successful in this role:

Associate's degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or related field) or equivalent degree with solid experience

Significant experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment

Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards and APQP / PPAP requirements
Technical Skills

Proficiency in quality tools: FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D, Ishikawa, Six Sigma

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and contractual documents

Knowledge of metrology and proficiency with CMM tools (a plus)

Proficiency with ERP systems and production data management

Knowledge of Visio or equivalent process mapping tools
