We are hiring both an Assistant Head Coach and recreation coaches
Assistant Head coach is a Full time salaried position – competitive salary, flexible schedule, extended vacation.
Recreation coaches are part time to full time. We offer a competitive wage package and flexible schedule.
Job Description - Assistant Head Coach
The assistant head coach is responsible for coaching athletes at the pre-competitive and competitive levels as well as supervising and assisting other staff.
Coaching:
- Coach and prepare pre-competitive and competitive gymnasts
- Assist and coach pre-school, recreational, youth groups, school and special needs classes when needed
- Insure a clean and safe practice gym
Administration Duties
- In conjunction with head coach – scheduling programs and classes o Pre-school and recreational
o Competitive
o School program
o Birthdays
o Drop Ins
o Special Needs
Records:
- Maintain electronic and paper records of report cards
- Complete Incident reports when needed and send to Gymnastics BC Insure all staff have current certifications and criminal record checks
Meetings:
- Hold staff meetings with head coach when needed
- Attend Vancouver Island meetings (2/year)
- Attend PAGA board meetings
Other STAFF members
- Coaching meetings and clinics
- Assist other coaches when needed
- Check time sheets
Mt. Arrowsmith Invitational:
- In conjunction with Head coach set date and sanction with GBC Assist in set up of facility
- Work with VIGA to coordinate judges
- Follow up report to GBC
Coach Certification:
Min. NCCP 2Level certified
Current First Aid
Criminal Record check

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00-$35.00 per hour

Experience:
- gymnastics coaching: 3 years (preferred)
