Program Manager: Community Housing & Inclusion Services
Location: Nanaimo , BC
Position Type: This is a Full Ttime position with a hybrid of fronline and manager hours
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8 am - 4 pm)
Wage: $32.00 - $35.57 per hour

You’ll work closely with families, community partners, and staff to create safe, supportive environments where people can thrive. By combining your leadership skills with compassion and vision, you’ll help shape programs that foster belonging, independence, and meaningful participation in community life.
The Role
As Program Manager, you will:

Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to staff, fostering a cohesive and supportive team culture.

Oversee the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services that meet physical, emotional, social, vocational, and health needs.

Collaborate with families, guardians, community partners (MCFD, CLBC, VIHA, Behavior Consultants, etc.), and Bonaventure’s leadership team.

Develop and monitor Person-Centered Plans, Risk Assessments, and Health & Safety Plans

Ensure compliance with CARF accreditation, agency policies, and relevant legislation (WorkSafeBC, Employment Standards, etc.).

Manage program resources, including scheduling staff and reconciling expenditures.

Support staff development through training, coaching, and performance feedback

Build strong, trusting relationships with supported individuals, families, and the community

Partner with HR and Directors on organizational problem-solving, hiring, and staff development.
What You Bring
We’re seeking leaders who combine strong organizational skills with compassion and vision. You’ll bring:

Diploma/Degree in Social Services, Community Support Work, or related field—or equivalent experience

Experience supervising teams and supporting individuals with diverse abilities

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic documentation systems

Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Personal suitability to promote dignity, independence, and individuality

Requirements

Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
-
MCFD Hub Screening with RCMP Criminal Record Check portion (employer facilitated)

First Aid with CPR, Food Safe Level 1

Immunization record or exemption, TB Screen, and Physician’s Declaration

3 professional references (including one from your most recent employer)
