Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Edo Japan as a Cook. This role involves providing exceptional food service, preparing meals, and ensuring a high standard of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a good work ethic and be willing to learn inside a fast paced environment and/or have previous line cook experience. Having a vehicle is a definate plus but not required as this position is hiring for a job at 2 locations close to each other in West Edmonton. This position offers an opportunity to learn new skills while contributing to provide a positive dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Prepare food for customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring satisfaction
- Handle food with proper safety and hygiene practices, adhering to all food safety regulations
- Assist with food presentation and plating to ensure visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and preparation
- Support team members during busy periods, including assisting with meal assembly and service
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred however not required as we will train.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays is required.

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
