Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman or Apprentice Service Plumber to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, be capable of reading blueprints and schematics, and have experience with various tools and construction techniques. This position offers opportunities for growth and development within a professional environment committed to quality service.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in accordance with safety standards and building codes
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to complete tasks efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving carpentry, Boiler and HVAC components
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues using basic math skills and technical schematics to identify root causes
- Ensure all work complies with local regulations and safety protocols
- Assist in training apprentices or less experienced team members as needed
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems
