WaterBridge Ferries is a private-owned ferry operator company based in Nakusp, British Columbia, Canada. As contractors to the Ministry of Transportation and Transit, we are responsible for the safe ferry passage of people in the communities surrounding the Arrow Lakes in BC. Our ferry crews are Transport Canada trained and certified. We pride ourselves on the impact we make on the local economies in which we operate.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Office Administrator you will provide day-to-day administrative support to the management team while assisting in general office duties. Duties range from daily business correspondence to more advanced reporting using MS Office Suite and internal software systems.
Key Accountabilities:
- Create business correspondence and other ad hoc reports as requested by management
- Sort and distribute mail and courier shipments
- Maintain in-house share point information systems
- Allocation, inventory and distribution of clothing and other consumables
- Maintain filing systems for accounts payable (both paper & paperless)
- Maintain new and existing vendor information, including preparation of new vendor credit applications
- Responsible for maintaining and replenishing general office supplies
- Be available to backfill vacation and ad hoc days for other office administrators
- Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- Must be proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and web interface. Note: a competency exam will be required at time of interview
- Must be proficient in typing. Note: a competency exam will be required at time of interview
- Interact in person and by phone with the public in a tactful and courteous manner on matters concerning the ferry operations
- A team player with an approachable demeanor
- Good written and oral communication skills are a must
- Business writing and communication skills must be at a high level
Hours of Work
- This position is auxiliary requiring flexible hours and days; no weekends. Actual days of work TBD.
- Must be available for short notice call-out.
- Training schedule will be full-time hours M-F for 10 days to start.
- Office hours are Monday- Friday 08:00 - 4:00pm. We are a scent sensitive workspace.

Pay: From $34.98 per hour
