Pasta Lupino has been one of Whistler’s best-kept secrets since 2000 — a locally owned Italian restaurant making everything fresh, every day. We’re not a chain and we’re not a corporation. We’re growing. A second production kitchen and catering hub is opening at Function Junction, and we need the right person to help us build it properly.
The Role
This is a daytime, full-time position based at Pasta Lupino in the Village, with direct involvement in the Function Junction kitchen as it opens. You’ll lead the prep team, own the ordering, work the line when needed, and help build the systems and processes that will carry this business into its next chapter.
You’ll be accountable for a real area of the business — not micromanaged, not handed a script. Getting in early at a growing company means the experience you pick up here — across production, catering, multi-site operations, and brand — is hard to find at this stage of a career.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and training the prep team across both locations
- Working the kitchen — prep and line cook, with cheffing support when required
- Managing all product ordering and building systems that work without you in the room
- Using MarginEdge for inventory counts and food cost tracking
- Keeping quality and communication consistent between Pasta Lupino and Function Junction
- Supporting the build-out of our catering operation
- Contributing to how this brand grows
- Direct involvement in the menu and new product decisions
What We’re Looking For
- Solid kitchen background — confident in prep and on the line
- Organised, accountable, follows through
- Can lead a team without drama
- Food Safe Level 1 (required) — First Aid at Work (required or willing to get)
- Tech comfortable — inventory software experience is a bonus
- Interested in building something, not just maintaining it

- 40 hours per week, guaranteed
