Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Asphalt Ground Person to join our team. This role involves assisting at the Asphalt Plant. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to high-quality paving operations. Prior experience in working around an Asphalt Plant is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Complete walk around plant in morning to ensure no issues before start up
- Once started, must walk around again to ensure no issues
- Complete required greasing
- Log all maintenance completed
- Assist with maintenance of the plant
- Assist with unloading of the Asphalt Cement tankers
- Discuss all safety issues and being around asphalt plants will all new drivers loading asphalt
- Switch Tars
- Receive and document all stock and inventory coming to the plant
- Great communication skills, you are the eyes outside of the plant and must be able to clearly communicate with the plant operator
Requirements
- Must have a mechanical experience
- Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Cannot be afraid of heights

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
