Veterinary Simulator Industries (VSI), a division of 3B Scientific, is looking for a Silicone Fabricator to join our growing production team in Calgary. VSI designs and manufactures highly realistic veterinary training simulators used by veterinary schools and professionals around the world.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, learning specialized fabrication techniques, and being part of a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricating silicone components for veterinary training simulators
- Mixing, pouring, and processing silicone materials according to production specifications
- Preparing molds and performing demolding of finished parts
- Trimming, finishing, and inspecting silicone parts to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintaining clean and organized workspaces and tools
- Working closely with other departments including fiberglass, finishing, and assembly
- Following all safety procedures and production guidelines
Qualifications
- Experience working with silicone, latex, casting materials, or similar fabrication processes is an asset
- Experience in manufacturing, prop making, mold making, or special effects fabrication is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work with hand tools and small equipment
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs and perform hands-on production work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
