Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items, particularly fried dishes, in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred to help maintain efficient operations and excellent service.
Duties
- Prepare and cook fried foods according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
- Serve food promptly and courteously to customers or servers
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and workstations
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
- Follow food safety protocols at all times to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy hours
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service roles, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques, especially frying methods
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
