We are looking for an experienced Laser Technician to join the Clean Slate Skin & Laser team!
This role is dedicated to delivering safe, effective, and results-driven laser treatments in a professional clinic setting, with a strong emphasis on technical precision, client safety, and treatment outcomes.
Job Summary
In this position, you'll perform primarily Laser Hair Removal, along with Microneedling, Laser Facials, and other advanced skin treatments (eg. Hydrafacials, Peels, Combination Treatments). You will be using your knowledge of laser physics and skin physiology to customize treatment parameters safely and effectively for each client. You'll conduct assessments, manage treatment plans, and ensure every client receives a consistent, professional experience grounded in clinical expertise. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety focused, and passionate about client outcome.
Laser & Advanced Treatments
- Perform Laser Hair Removal, with the Candela Gentle Max Pro across all skin types and Fitzpatrick classifications, adjusting settings appropriately based on skin tone, hair type, and treatment area.
- Position to grow into Hydrafacials, Microneedling, BBL, Laser Facials, and other energy-based or advanced skin treatments (additional training provided as needed).
- Conduct thorough client consultations, including skin assessments, contraindication screening, and treatment plan recommendations at each appointment.
- Apply a strong working knowledge of laser physics (wavelength, pulse duration, fluence) and skin physiology to select safe and effective treatment parameters.
- Manage pre and post-treatment care, including client education on aftercare and realistic expectations.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, including laser safety standards, eye protection, and equipment operation procedures, charting, sanitization.
- Monitor for adverse reactions or complications and respond appropriately.
Client Experience
- Create a professional, judgment-free environment for clients throughout their treatment journey.
- Communicate clearly with clients about treatment plans, expected results, and timelines.
- Support rebooking and treatment series planning to help clients achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with front desk and clinic staff to ensure smooth scheduling and treatment flow.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience performing Laser Hair Removal required. Gentle Max Pro is preferred, or an equivalent device.
- Deep understanding of laser physics and skin physiology, including how skin type, hair color, and treatment area affect laser settings and outcomes.
- Certification or training in laser/light-based aesthetic treatments (e.g. laser technician certification, IPL/laser safety certification, or equivalent).
- Experience with Microneedling and Laser Facials considered a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of skin conditions, contraindications, and safety protocols related to laser and energy-based treatments.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort discussing treatment plans and realistic outcomes with clients.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, client-facing clinical environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
- Experience with additional medical aesthetics modalities (e.g., BBL, Chemical Peels) is an asset.

Schedule: Part-Time to Full Time as needed. Availability needed throughout the week and Saturdays.
