Material Handler

Responsibilities include:
· Receive and unload incoming material and verify information on packing slips with HU (handling units) to confirm accuracy of shipment or damage (taking pictures when needed).
· Perform a variety of routine shipping, receiving and handling tasks
· Perform administrative tasks associated with material and equipment handling programs, including data entry.
· Guide and train new warehouse team members on job function and responsibilities.
· Perform physical inventory and/or cycle counts as required in order to verify correct inventory management.
· Post the inward and outward movement of material in the EWM system with quantities and storage location in order to ensure correct inventory management.
· Be proactive in identifying shortages and making recommendations to the appropriate department.
· Sorting and repalletizing of product.
· Participate in open communication with team members and management.
· Join in the daily huddles to learn about progress, expectations and receive direction regarding safe work practices and service levels.
· Customer Pick Up’s – Select customers packages and match to delivery note.
· Operate dolly, pump/pallet truck and forklift, where appropriate.
· Complete visual safety checks on storage racks for damage.
· Perform daily warehouse housekeeping duties.
· Other duties as assigned.
What are we looking for?
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Certified Forklift Operator an asset
· Ability to frequently lift, push and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs
· Experience working in a warehouse environment.
· Punctuality
· Maintain high levels of accuracy in daily work.
· Positive attitude.
· Good people skills.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
· Demonstrate ability to solve basic problems.
· Good communication skills, both written and oral.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
