We are currently seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners (NPs) for contract opportunities with Western Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services.
Position Overview
Augury Healthcare is accepting applications for Nurse Practitioner contract assignments within Western Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services.
Available opportunities may include:
- Primary care
- Long-term care
- Community-based healthcare
- Rural healthcare settings
Candidates must be available for the full duration of the assignment.
Compensation and Benefits
Successful candidates will receive:
- $120.00–$140.00 per hour
- 4% vacation pay

Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Active Newfoundland and Labrador Nurse Practitioner licence
- Availability for the full duration of the assignment
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
Preference will be given to candidates who are proficient in Epic.
Previous experience in primary care, long-term care, rural healthcare, or community care settings is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced clinical care within the assigned healthcare setting. Responsibilities may include:
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments
- Developing and implementing individualized care plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute and chronic health conditions
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
- Prescribing medications and treatments within the Nurse Practitioner’s scope of practice
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and facility leadership
- Supporting continuity of care for residents, patients, and families
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
