Overview
We are seeking a skilled CCTV Technician to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CCTV systems and related telecommunication and networking equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment, utilizing a broad range of technical skills including computer networking, hardware, and electrical systems. Candidates should be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and a solid understanding of schematics and system configurations.
Duties
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV surveillance systems across various sites, ensuring optimal operation and security coverage.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on CCTV hardware, networking components, and telecommunication equipment.
- Use hand tools and electrical testing devices to modify or repair system components as needed.
- Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and network layouts to facilitate accurate installations and diagnostics.
- Manage network connectivity issues involving Ethernet, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and VoIP systems to ensure seamless data transmission.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to plan system layouts based on site requirements and schematics.
- Conduct routine inspections to verify system performance and implement upgrades or repairs proactively.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, repairs, and maintenance activities for compliance and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with CCTV installation, maintenance, or repair is required.
- Strong knowledge of computer networking protocols such as Ethernet, VoIP, and telecommunication systems like Avaya.
- Familiarity with computer hardware components and electrical systems is essential.
- Experience working with network equipment including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, switches, and data center environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical testing devices, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of data center operations or related environments is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues efficiently.
- Relevant certifications in networking or telecommunications are advantageous but not mandatory. Pay: $40.00 per hour
