This role will support a program focused on improving application visibility and dependency mapping across complex enterprise environments.
This role is hands‑on and responsible for designing, validating, and troubleshooting Application Service maps in ServiceNow to support risk assessment and remediation planning. The environment includes legacy and partially documented systems, customizations, integrations, and non‑standard configurations.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and validate Application Service maps aligned with CSDM 4.0/5.0.

Ensure accurate relationships between Application Services, Business Applications, and infrastructure.

Configure and troubleshoot Service Mapping and Discovery patterns using Pattern Designer.

Support Tag‑Based Service Mapping where applicable.

Analyze and resolve service mapping failures related to credentials, network/firewalls, IRE conflicts, and CMDB data quality.

Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and application teams to validate service maps.

Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and mapping decisions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands‑on experience with ServiceNow Service Mapping in large, complex environments.

Experience mapping legacy or partially documented applications.

ITOM experience including Discovery and Pattern Designer.

Working knowledge of CSDM 4.0/5.0 and Application Service modeling.

Working knowledge of discovery protocols (WMI, SSH, SNMP), TCP/IP networking, and firewalls/load balancers (e.g., F5).

Ability to troubleshoot service mapping, discovery, and CMDB issues.
Experience
- 5+ years ServiceNow platform experience.

3+ years focused on ITOM (Discovery & Service Mapping).

Experience in multi‑vendor enterprise environments.

Government or regulated environment experience is an asset.
