Location: Britannia and Kennedy- Mississauga, ON
Reporting to: Receiving Supervisor and Warehouse Operations Manager
The Warehouse Order Picker must understand the impact of this position to other business functions that depend on the accuracy and efficiency of incoming items.
Role Specific Accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Read work orders, assemble customer orders from stock .
- Inspect product to ensure saleable condition with acceptable code dating and report discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
- Prepare orders for shipment and move orders to the staging area for shipment.
- Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods. ·
- Follow all safe work policies and procedures and work to maintain a clean warehouse environment.
- Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.
- Ability to solve any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries.
- Maintain an organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulations.
- Assist in counting of physical inventory and verifying stock and identifying losses.
- Wear proper safety equipment.
- Lift cases of produce and/or stock merchandise according to documented procedure.
- Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. may be required.
- Perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
Educational /Technical Experience:
- Able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Basic mathematical skills.
Skill and Knowledge Requirements:
- Knowledgeable of safe lifting methods.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. may be required.
