Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient, and innovative geotechnical solutions for a wide range of projects including commercial developments, infrastructure & transportation, energy, and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and oversee geotechnical site investigations, including borehole drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing
- Conduct detailed analysis and design of foundations, retaining structures, slopes, and ground improvement systems
- Prepare geotechnical reports, design memos, and construction recommendations
- Provide geotechnical input during construction (e.g., footing inspections, pile driving, shoring)
- Perform slope stability, settlement, and bearing capacity analyses
- Collaborate with civil, structural, and environmental teams on multidisciplinary projects
- Review contractor submittals and provide technical support during construction
What You Bring
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical focus preferred)
- Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta and British Columbia
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and slope stability
- Proficiency with geotechnical software
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
Considered a Strong Asset:
- Experience in Western Canada (Alberta/British Columbia) geology
- Familiarity with transportation, oil & gas, mining, and renewable energy projects
- Experience with seismic design and liquefaction assessment
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering
